Please inspect all heavy item deliveries carefully for any damage before signing the bill of lading (BOL). If the item is damaged or defective, note it on the BOL and refuse delivery to avoid return freight charges. If you don’t do this, you’ll be responsible for return freight costs.
You’ll also be responsible for freight costs in the following cases:
- Missed delivery appointment
- Refused or returned a non-damaged, non-defective item
In some cases, Rural King may offer replacement parts or send a service technician instead of requiring the entire item to be returned.
